What Kinds of Food Can You Try in Mong Kok?

Let’s talk about food.

Food plays a very important role in traveling. It’s part of the experience we seek to have whenever we go to different places. And so, May and her friends did not waste the opportunity to try different foods in Hong Kong and Macau. “We had a typical burger and fries, egg tart, siomai and some meals that I can’t even remember the name.”

“When we arrived at the hotel, we had a bowl of ramen. I can’t remember all the names of the restaurants we ate at, but the experience is something I really enjoyed in this trip. We also had a chance to eat takoyaki, and sweet & sour pork meal at Mongkok,  which is at the Yau Tsim Mong District.  At first, we tried to go for some cheaper options but I recommend that since you are already there enjoying your traveling and food experience, you ought to try something new. I realized that it was more satisfying to eat something of great value.”

Accommodation and Public Transport

They stayed at Silka West Kowloon Hotel which is only 12 minutes away or 800 meters from Mong Kok. You may opt to ride a taxi but it’s not that far so it’s okay to take a walk. But at night, if you’re tired, taking a taxi might be the best idea.

“Just like the normal souvenirs you can find, we were able to find some affordable items to take home to our family and friends. You can buy a keychain, a scarf, accessories, fans, pens and chocolates. Even drones! My friend even bought a drone for only Php 3,500. The good thing about buying chocolates, my friend has a discount card so we truly enjoyed shopping for more.”

So that’s some of the things you can find on your trip.

Thanks May!
